Every Police Force in the UK is under pressure to get positive results by managing criminality with limited resources – with unique challenges for every Force. Front line officers need the right information, and must be ready to respond to unexpected or exceptional events. Added to this, your Force must be able to defend decisions, for example in the use of Section 60 powers.

Corvus Nominal Management is a set of capabilities that use the data superset within Corvus, combined with tight integration to your RMS and mobile devices.
- Corvus Nominal Management helps frontline officers by giving them a wealth of information on patrol and targeted briefing info straight to their mobile device. One force called it ‘the 2am test’ – being the scenario where an officer encounters a suspicious individual at 2am, when most administrative functions are in bed. Corvus provides a wealth of data.
- Corvus Nominal Management helps strategic resource planning to get positive results from available resources, with the ability to respond flexibly when the unexpected happens.
Corvus Briefing
Corvus Briefing was developed in close collaboration with UK Police Forces to help you create, disseminate and consume briefing information efficiently and accurately – with a powerful combination of automation and flexibility, including integrated tasking. Corvus Briefing works at all levels, from formal briefings on the big screen to key facts delivered to officer mobiles. Read more about Briefing and Tasking.
Corvus Section 60 Management
To maintain public trust and to avoid damaging allegations of discrimination, Police Forces must be able to justify their use of Section 60 powers, which some elements of the press have dubbed ‘suspicion-less stop and search’. HMICFRS has made several recommendations, citing the need for recorded evidence of Section 60 briefings, as well as the need to improve public communication and the safeguarding of children.
Location aware, audited end-to-end support for Section 60
Section 60 remains a hot topic for UK Police Forces and at Bluestar, we’re proud to be ahead of the curve. Our Section 60 Management solution formalises operations with end-to-end support, including audited creation, authorisation, publication and extension or removal. The system supports definition of the area of interest, citation of prerequisite intel, and capture of the briefed plans. And because Section 60 Management is fully integrated with officer location data, officers are made aware when they are entering or leaving a live Section 60 area, giving them the confidence they need in their duties. The location aware audit capability also makes it easier for the Force to deal with any inappropriate application of the power.

Corvus Section 60 is available as a standalone solution or as part of your wider Corvus ecosystem.
Corvus Neighbourhood Profiles (NHP)
Address the needs of every area and neighbourhood with Corvus Neighbourhood Profiles (NHP), fully integrated to Corvus Briefing. Combine data to identify crime patterns and risks, safeguarding the vulnerable and improving community safety. Then enhance your briefings by adding neighbourhood knowledge and priorities. You can combine local knowledge and priorities in a geographical view, utilising a wealth of information, for example: persons of interest, crime patterns, intelligence reports, patrol areas, meeting notes, demographic statistics and important locations… Find out more on the Briefing and Tasking page.
Corvus Demand Management
Corvus Demand Management gives you powerful tactical support and analysis of officer whereabouts vs. incidents, helping your force deploy resources better to manage incidents across various areas. Demand Management uses a visual ‘cold map’, tracking officer presence in near real-time, comparing with the locations of crimes and all other geographic data held in the Corvus Operational Datastore.

Publication of Court Orders
Publication of Court Orders is a relatively new addition to Corvus Nominal Management that ensures frontline officers are aware when a Court Order applies to a nominal. Court Order information is held on PNC and in the past would have required an active check by an officer to view its status. Corvus Nominal Management ensures this information is at the officer’s fingertips by automatically extracting the Court Order information from PNC and attaching it to the Corvus SEV record for the nominal, along with a suitable warning citing the Court Order and timeframe. The result is a complete picture of the nominal, on the officer’s mobile device and throughout Corvus.
Crucially, the solution is fully compliant with Review, Retention, Disposal (RRD) regulations so that all data is removed at the end of the order period.
