Corvus supports a range of applications and core capabilities that deliver comprehensive search and analysis. Personnel can be given the product that best suits their needs. Much of the power of Corvus Search comes from the Corvus Operational Data Store‘s ability to combine, index and optimise data from various sources, ready for rapid retrieval. Central to this is the Single Enterprise View (SEV), providing combined ‘profiles’ of common records – Person, Vehicle, Location… SEV prioritises the most important information first, on desktop and mobile alike, and lets you drill into groups of records sourced from all integrated systems.
Searching with Single Enterprise View and One Search
Single Enterprise View and One Search give you a powerful combination of criteria to look-up records especially nominals. Look up Event (Occurrence), Nominal, Vehicle, Location or Telephone records using common criteria and references, with support for soundex, synonyms, references, partial criteria and more…

The textual content of records is indexed, so you can even find a record based on a textual ‘snippet’ – for example in an Event record description (e.g. a Crime or Stop Search record). Once a record has been found, linked records are categorised and navigated to easily.
eXtended Intelligent Search (XIS)
Extended Intelligent Search (XIS) delivers leading edge searching and analysis features in a convenient, easy-to-use manner. Regardless of the level of complexity, or the volume of information, XIS allows searches to be developed simply and with the minimum degree of analytical skills. Just as importantly, our optimised design and indexed data ensure that results are returned quickly. Both XIS and SEV have integrated mapping.

(SQL) Query Runner
Query Runner draws on the abilities of senior analysts to leverage the value of the information held in the database by supporting searches defined in an SQL worksheet. The search can be as complex as needed. Queries created in this way can be stored for reuse and shared with other users of the system if appropriate. Query Runner supports the most complex, customised requirements that the underlying Operational Data Store can fulfil.
Under the bonnet – the Corvus Indexer
The Corvus Indexer identifies all textual values from records held within the repository and allows these to be searched efficiently. Options are provided to specify criteria based upon keywords, ID values, date ranges and types of data. These options can be used with familiar operators (such as + and !) to simplify the process of constructing search conditions and requirements.
